Student Environmental Alliance
The Student Environmental Alliance (SEA) promotes the ecological health of the 校园, Chestertown community, 和 Chesapeake Bay region.
We work towards making WAC a regenerative 校园. SEA inspires ecological thinking 在学院. Our 成员 get to weigh in on administrative issues while also creating a 校园 文化 可持续性的 by educating students 和 inspiring behavioral change.

George Goes Green (G3) Initiatives
The Student Environmental Alliance is working on a variety of initiatives to support the 校园 sustainability efforts. Each initiative has a dedicated sub-committee within 俱乐部.

We work to eliminate the sale 和 distribution of disposable plastic water bottles at 九州娱乐官网 by promoting the use of reusable water bottles at increasingly 可访问的 再充填站!
Food Waste Reduction
We educate students about 堆肥 和 collect the compostable leftovers from students 在 dining hall a couple meals a week to add to the compost pile 在 校园的花园.
We also have a chapter of the Food Recovery Network to recover the uneaten, untouched meals from the dining hall 和 feed those in need 在社区里.
R4: Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, Recycle

Fall 和 Spring Break Camping

Carbon Offset Initiative
We encourage create awareness about individual carbon footprints, with information about participating in carbon offset programs.
Citizens Climate Lobby Workshop
We host a program to teach participants how to communicate climate change to a lay 观众.
Dorm Room Donation Drive
We collect gently used items to give back to students 在 fall.

Environmental Income Inequality Campaign

We join public demonstrations in promotion of social 和 environmental justice.
Recycling Fashion Competition at Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Department

Upper Shore Youth Environmental Action Summit
